were so happy now coz our petition just got approve today wow its so fast we cant believe.we mailed our petition Sept.28 2008 and california service center recieve it Oct.8 and now its approve wow.nicole pls guide me on wat to do after ds. ur so helpful to us.i read ur post and prnt it so i have a guide.thank u so much

You can call the NVC (numbers on the above linked page) and ask if they have received your petition and when it was sent on to the Embassy. You must speak to an operator because K visa cases are not put into the automated system. Press the numbers to speak to a person. Once they have it at NVC, ask them for your new case number. Mine started with LND for London. Yours will start with letters for your embassy. That will be the case number you use dealing with the Embassy and put on the next set of forms.

This is the most important information because it tells you things to be preparing for the Embassy applications and interview.

I suggest you Google "US Embassy (your country here)" to see if they have a website and read what information they tell you. Each embassy has slightly different procedures you follow. The guides on here are general information, but your Embassy will give you better guidance from here on out. Not every Embassy provides good information, but many do give you a step by step guide of how they handle it in that country.
