  • K3 Visa Help (I-130 and G-325A)

    Hello Everybody,

I am filling out the I-130 and G-325A. I have filled it out and my wife has also filled out her share of G-325A. The applications are a bit confusing however. Here are my questions--

    1. For I-130 and for G-325A, do we need to fill out her maiden name or After-marriage name. Her passport still has her maiden name because we didn't get a chance to change that yet. If maiden name is ok, what about the name change? when will that happen?
    2. INS requires a photo of both of us with names written on the back of it. Again same question--in her case, does this name have to be her maiden name or After-Marriage name?
    3. In G-325A, there is a field called File Number and there is an "A" next to it. Is this referring to the Alien Registration #? I have that #, but my wife won't have it since she is in a foreign country? What number do I put there in her and my case or do I leave it blank?
    4. I typed up the form on the computer and in some fields, the text does not fit the field (+ sign next to it). Is it ok to hand-write in those fields?
    5. What will be the next step after you send these out?

Answer to any/all questions is highly appreciated as I am stuck trying to figure out answers to these questions!

    Thanks so much!
    Jay

    Jay,
On the I-130 and the G-325A forms, her married name goes there, and with the pictures, her married name.
Hand writting additional info is okay, print neatly and use black ink.
For the Alien # if she does not have one put NONE there.

After you send it all out, all you do is wait for a approval.
    Good luck!
