Adjustment of Status - Questions

Hi There,

Well I just got married, and now I am preparing my paperwork for adjustment of status. I just have a couple of questions in regards to I-485..

- Current Occupation: I had worked as a graphic designer and plan to work as so once I get my EAD and such. Is it okay if I put 'Graphic Designer' in this space?

- Social Security Number: I don't have one at this point, do I need one to file I-485, or can I file for Social Security after the fact and put 'N/A' in the form for the time being?

Your occupation is none unless you are currently working which isn't lawful unless you already have work authorization.

For social security number: NONE
You don't have to have one to adjust status.

Do you know that you can file the I-131 and I-765 with the AOS at no additional fee? You should be able to get EAD in 2-3 months. My husband got his in less just under 60 days.
