Please can anyone offer some advice?
My fiancee started the petition in August 2008 for a K1 Visa, foolishly acting on information from a colleague he filed at Tampa and a couple of weeks later found out that the paperwork should have been sent to Vermont, they took the cheque at Tampa and didn't make him any the wiser for the mistake, he called when he realised and they said not to worry that it happens all the time and that they sent it on to Vermont and that it would only delay the process about a week.
We have waited patiently for at least acknowledgement from Vermont but so far haven't received anything, is this usual?
He has made numerous calls to ask if we should have received this to at least allow us to check online and all they do is apologise and say it will be sent and not to worry as it doesn't mean that it isn't being dealt with.
I know this is going to be a long process but I feel that 5 months with no acknowledgement at all is a bit extreme.
Has anyone else heard of this happening?
