I dont know whats happening to my K1 papers ??

I m a student in canada, my fiance and i applied for a K1 visa but Im just a student here with F1visa. I was told thats its possible and I wont have to go back to my home country, but my question is would it be complicated? is there more risques of denial than if aplied in my country?
