  • child's clearance

I'm from the Philippines and my marriage was already annulled since 2004...I'm just wondering if they would still require from the father a clearance for my 8 y/o daughter to come with me to US... I'm already using my maiden's name on the passport while my daughter is using her father's last name... Will this be a problem? Hope someone would help me with this? What are the requirements of Immigration for this case...thanks

Hi! I've experienced the same, I think the US immigration not requiring a clearance from your ex but I think you will need to go to DSWD and get a clearance to travel so you can take your minor child with you. And one clearance every travel as long she's still minor, because I got my minor child a clearance I thought it was ok to used it over and over again, but no.. they got the original copy and then i need to get another one for another travel aboard. Anyway, it's easy to get a travel clearance from DSWD... Take care and good luck!
