HI everyone,
I need help! I stayed in the US for three years as a teacher exchange (j1 visa). After my 3 years, I decided to extend my visa for another 6 months
(B2 visa). After 6 months, I went home before my extension expired. The situation is I havent received anything with my application of B2, I just assume that I needed to go home after 6 months. Then I met someone a week before my flight, he proposed marriage a week after I got home. Is the 6 months I stayed in the US considered OVERSTAYING even if I filed for a B2 visa? Will this affect our K1 applicationl. Any idead will be be greatly appreciated.
