Approval notice sent :-)

Hi me and my fiancee just got our approval notice sent out. We applied in september '08 so anybody who applied around then, its not far off for you too. We are both so excited right now. If anybody can give us advice on what to do next and what papers I should get ready it would be very much appreciated. Thanks from a very excited fiance

We applied in October and got approved in Feb. You should receive an form through the mail letting you know what is happening. Your fiance will also recieve notification from the embassy with a list of things she needs to get ready prior to the interview including police records and a health eaxam.
Hopefully it won't be that much longer. My fiance is set up for the health exam on April 6th and hopefully an interview not that much longer after.

I 130 approved

Hi everyone,
I applied in feb 2009 and got approved in mar2009(CSC).
I got my I 130 approval and I 129f approval the same day.Do I have to cancel K3 or i can just pursue I 130. I guess the next step is to call NVC.I called NVC but they have not received my case yet (notice date is march 16th)Is it related to getting my approval early,hopefully not.
Once i get a case number what do i do next?
Do I have to wait for my case No.for starting police clearance as it takes long.
any help is greatly appreciated.

USCIS usually approve i-130 and i-129f at the same time. They will process your K-3 now unless you tell them not to. You probably know that immigrant visas take more time to issue compared to K-3/K-1. So, if you want a faster process (but pay more money), stick with the K-3.

As for the police clearance, I don't think you have to wait for the police clearance unless they ask for it in the country where you are getting it from.

Thanks for your reply.
I called NVC and they told that the case is not there yet and I would have to send a letter to cancel I129f if i want to pursue I 130 but have to wait until my case reaches NVC.Actually I want to pursue I 130 but dont know if it will be toooo long...few months difference is ok but if its longer or not.
I thought once its approved it does not take much time but I am wondering why NVC has not received it yet.
as i got my approval within 1 month of filing is the time after approval going to be long?any experience or input is greatly appreciated
