I129F approved before I130

Hello folks, My I129F was approved and my I130 is still pending. What does this mean?

Does this mean my K3 got approved? Whats the next step? Should I contact NVC or will they contact me?

Hi there,

Hypothetically, thats what should happen... when you file a K1 or K3, you are filing for a visa which would let your spouse come into the US BEFORE the I130 gets approved. It's a visa which should let you be together sooner.

I filed for one for my spouse, and in our case, it looks like the I 130 will come first.

It's normal... it can go either way... if the I 129F is approved first, your spouse can get the k3 visa to come to the US. If the I 130 is approved first, the I129F is cancelled, and your spose goes to the US as a resident.

I'm not exactly sure what the next step is though, lol. Sorry... I was hoping to find out the same thing.
