Police certificate?

Hi All,

I am from India and we had applied for K3 visa in June. My husband is a U.S citizen and right now the status is that he sent the Affidavit of Support form along with the relevant documents. As per the website, the next step says that now I would be receiving a packet from the NVC. I have the following queries:
When can I expect the packet mentioning the interview date?
How long does it take for them to issue the police certificate?
If it takes time, should I go and apply for it so that I get the police certificate on time?

Police certificate

Yes i would apply for the certificates as soon as possible, this is what has delayed my process with my husband. You need to apply for one in each country you lived in for 6 months or more. It can take a long time to complete this and if you only lived in your place of birth i would still get started on getting the police certificate as soon as possible.
