If you are a legal citizen and your SSN card should be change. U need to go to the social security office and have them issued you another one without "work only" stamp on it. And yes you can work and apply for AOS & EAD. https://www.immihelp.com/newcomer-to...ty-number.html

Yes you can work as long as you have a social security card and a work permit (EAD) . I would suggest you wait for the EAD card first, because most company will ask you for the EAD card along with your SS to verify you are legally in this country.
I hope this help. Be good. Be bless.

Your card said Valid for Work With DHS Authorization Only
Has Dept of Homeland Security authorized you to work? No
Is the SS card valid for work? No because you don't have DHS authorization.
Apply for the EAD card along with your AOS application. When you get the EAD card mailed to you (60-90 days after applying) that is your DHS authorization to work. Now the SS card is good for work because you have the EAD card to show with it.
After you get the green card, that is your work authorization. You won't need the EAD card any longer and they often take that away from you at the interview. At that point you can go back to the SS office, show them the green card, and get a new SS card without the restriction printed on it.
