This is my situation. I met my now fiance in the Dominican Republic 1 year ago. She is now pregnant with my baby. I'm working towards a fiance visa. She has a child of her own. Now please explain to me the whole process with her, her child and my child. Is my child an american citizen since i am a us citizen? If not what can i do for my baby to be a us citizen. and if nothing can be done do i just add my baby onto to the visa that my fiance's child is coming over with? What are the time frames for them to come here to the U.S.? and what are some ideas for being sure that my fiance's visa will be accepted? Thank you

Your baby can get an American passport if born before your wife enters the US and will not need a visa for travel. Check with the consulate in the Dominican Republic and find out what they require. There are forms and affidavits to fill out, but the baby has to be born first. Some places require paternity testing, but most just have you claim the child is yours. There are different rules if the parents are married at the time of the birth or if they are not married, so you'll have to get the specifics. The other child will be added to the petition and get a K2 visa.
