A# is your alien registration number. It appears first on your Notice of Action you receive after filing the petition. It will be Axxxxxxxxx. It also appears on the visa.

The I-94 is a white card you fill out on the plane when the immigrant comes to enter the US. When the immigrant goes through the entry process, the lower part of the I-94 will have an expiration written on it. For a K1, it's 90 days. A K3 gets two years I think. They give you the card or staple it in the passport. That card shows how long you are legally allowed to remain in the US.

So in the case of a K1 visa holder. You marry within 90 days and file for adjustment of status. Even if the I-94 has expired, the receipt of filing for AOS allows the immigrant to remain in the US until a decision is made.
