Hi everyone,
im looking for some info on the k1 visa petition .
It asks on the petition about arrest record. I do have been arrested in the pass for violant and drug crimes most are over 10 year old and i will state them on the petition.
What i would like some info on is how my arrest record will effect my petition or could it get denied and is there anything i can do to ensure my petition is appoved. I am us citizen and my fiance from the philipines we love eachother alot and we both feel that we should be together as husban and wife .

If the immigrant has the criminal record, then the visa is more difficult to obtain. For the US citizen with a record, they will inform her of your record and verify she knows every detail about it and make efforts to assure she is not moving into a dangerous situation, especially if she has children and if the crimes fall under the Adam Walsh Act. If you don't disclose the details, and they find out in your FBI background check, then there could be problems allowing her to have a visa to come live with you because you've been a criminal and tried to hide it. Not good.

Well I've never heard of it so couldn't comment on that now, could I? And I don't really dubunk anything. Some people think everybody is out to get them. I don't. The K1 to Green card process was smooth and quick so I don't have any complaints or anybody to be suspicious of. I guess you had a hard time and have different experiences to share, which is a good thing in a public forum. Back to the original question. I do think it's fair to inform an immigrant of the background of her fiance.
