I need someone to help me to sort out this dilemma.I entered USA onthe 11th August 2007 on K1.We never got married.I overstayed my 90 days.I left USA on the 24th Feb 08.I understand i might ve triggered this bar which prevents me from reentering usa for 3 years.Does 3 years count from the 11th August or from the 24th feb? Also my boyfriend submitted a petition for another K1 ...To our own surprise it has been approved and im awaiting to undergo medical exams in london and the main interview at the embassy.What are the chances of obtaining a visa especially given i ve overstayed the first time?

The bar starts when you leave the USA, so you are barred from entering the USA for 3 years, starting on Feb March 1st.

You are going to go through HELL to get back to the USA. Specially at your second K1 interview and if that is approved at the POE and then at the AOS interview.

Why in the world did you not get married? and if you had a good reason, why overstay?!

Do you suggest its a waste of my money and a time to proceed with my visa ?
Why didnt i get married? EMPTY NEST SYNDROME.!!I missed London like hell and gave up California! for it..I know what you are about to say, but you will not be able to understand unless you were in my shoes....
