K-1 VISA and apply for the Green card lottery?

I filed my 129f already for the K-1 VISA. USCIS sent me the I 797 saying that they received my petition already but I have received no news about any further progress. Website says the 129F was received feb 25, 2009


Do you think appling for the green card lottery would affect the K-1 VISA? Should I even bother with the green card lottery, my fiancee is a citizen of Ukraine if that makes a difference.

Well in theory, it should be ok, as you can apply for different Visas while your still under the status of another, but I can't tell you for sure.... maybe google or look up something I read about recently called 'dual intent' might help, but i'm not 100%
