I'd say yes, at the moment California is slightly faster than Vermont, but recent stats show that California is on average only around 15 days quicker...

It took around a month and a half for us to receive the NOA1 in the mail, I hope that the NOA2 would arrive sooner than that once we're approved.

I am flying out to visit my fiance this coming Saturday CANT WAIT!! By the time I arrive back it will be exactly 3 months since we filed, so hopefully we should see some movement around a month later.

We haven't received any Requests for Further Evidence so I can only presume that we're in a pile or on a list waiting to be reviewed for approval, I'll keep everyone updated... nice to see more people getting involved in this thread !

Hector, may I ask which country your fiance is coming from ? The embassy waiting times can be up to 2 months from the nOA2 date, and would be interesting to keep track of this in all cases

                    Mailed to UCSIS: 9.26.08
                    UCSIS NOA1 Date: 10.3.08
                    NOA2 w/acceptance: 4.6.09
NVC notice w/case number: still waiting.

With the help of my congressman, we found out that USCIS dropped the ball & they are now in the process of recalling my file from National Records. Who knows how long till NVC get this in they're hands.

Hi there, this is called 'touched' because someone at the UCSIS has looked at your case.

Each case has it's own file with a barcode attached and they scan the barcode when they pick up the file and this leads to less files being lost, and also automatically updates your case status online. It's a good way of us knowing that they are actually doing something.

So no-one really knows exactly what happens when they 'touch' our files, the status update your looking for is 'approved'

Seems they are indeed turning around some cases inside of 3 months, and I know from other people I am in contact with that filed their cases in May are now receiving their approvals best of luck !

I had a request for additional evidence for my petition.

I received it on Monday Morning and I had the requested evidence in the mail Monday night before the last pick-up.

By the end of the week they approved my petition.

Now I am waiting on the NVC to receive my approved petition.
My Fiancee arrived here on a K-1 VISA.
                              Conditional GreenCard has been received.
