I29 app sent the 29th of September with receipt confirmation(my choice) to USCIS: 9.29.08
receipt date 10.2.08, notice date 10.3.09
I received the notice 10.7.08 with receipt number EAC

exactly 6 months later 4.6.09 status went from pending to approved.
received notice in the mail 4.8.09.
This notice stated that the pettion had been approved & forwarded to the listed consulate. I waited 2wks & nothing else in the mail...so I called & the answer was: sent from USCIS Vermont to National Visa Center New Hampshire. I guess their walking it there because I am told it can take up to 90 days for their office to receive file. So hopefully on the 6th of July they will say that they received it....which leads to my question:

    What's next after this?

Really? 90 days? I just got my petition approved and is on its way to NH NVC and my NOA states that within 2 to 4 weeks, and if no notice to call.

      90days up

So...7.9.09 made the 90days since I got my approval from CIS. I called NVC & they're still stating they have not received the paperwork....LUCKY ME! So now I'm impatiently waiting. Nothing I can do to speed up this process & I'm beyond aggravated.

        mine was simular

You need to call your state congressmans office. I had to contact my congressman. Once the congressmans office sent me the papers i had to do for them and then i sent them back. the papers are easy. it took me only 1 day to do the papers and send them back to them. they were very nice about everything. after that was the good part... the very next week i was contacted by my congressmans office and by USCIS that our visa was approved. My wife and i was so happy. Try it..... you have nothing to lose. thats why we pay our congressmans for... i hope this helps..
        good luck and godbless...

Thanks! I filled out the form on Friday & faxed it to my congressman's office. They contacted me yesterday & said that they would look into it. Hopefully, I'll get the call saying that NVC sent the application the the US. Embassy abroad & he'll be here in no time.

SCWT, how long after USCIS approved the application did NVC approve the VISA for your wife to come to the states?

Thank you soooo much SCWT33, I contacted the congrassman's office on 7.10.09 & they called me on 7.13.09 saying they would look into it.
Today at 12N they called me back not only to say that yes, USCIS approved the petition & National Visa still has not received the approval so they in turn contacted USCIS who has now decided to take action. They said they are giong to recall the file from the National Records center which can take up to 2wks. I am now hopeful that this will not take long!

This site has been a great help & I thank everyone who comes with answers & shares their experience with others in the same boat.
