    visa approved

guys and gals...i just wanna update my case.

today, sept 10, 2009 i had my interview. i was scheduled 7am, i went to the embassy pass 5am and as what expected when i arrived, there's a long line of applicants already. anyway, they are very strict with regards to electronic gadgets...cellphone, ipod, laptop, calculator, usb etc...i have my usb with me but i left it in one corner outside, luckily it's still there when i went out...whew!

anyway, they let us in around 6am, first at gate 2 where they have the metal scanner. then went inside the building. guards checked for our itenerary letter and grouped the applicants according to time schedule. few minutes, 7am was called in a booth where they checked our DS forms. then they gave us a number and let me sit and wait for my number to be called. around 15mins, i was called for finger printing. done, and waiting again for my number on the lcd display all around the waiting lounge...around 20mins my number flashed again for the pre interview by a filipino. there they asked some questions regarding me and my fiancee, get my nbi, BC, affidavit of support (form I134) and checked our pics but didn't get any of the pics. then told me to wait for my number flashed in the board for my consul interview. around 40mins, final interview is here. it was a beautiful american maybe age early 40's...she asked almost the same questions as the pre interview, didn't asked for further documents...5mins later, she congratulated me and told me im approved. she told me to go to a certain window for my delivery details. then i paid air21 for my visa delivery...bafore 9am, im done at the embassy...it was a very nice and memorable day for me and my fiancee...thanks god and goodluck to everyone

in our case, we were approved july 29, then we received a notice from NVC 1 week later (aug 7) saying our case was forwarded to the foreign embassy where i am located (manila, philippines) and gave us a new case number. then i have to wait again for the notice from the embassy for further instructions. but what i did was, as soon as my fiance received the notice from the nvc which we have our new case number, then i called the embassy immediately to find out if they received our case and luckily they did so i made an appointment for my interview right away even without the notice from them. first i choosed sept 15, 2009. i went for medical aug 25 n 26 and finished it on time, then we have collected all documents i need for the interview right after my medical so i again called the embassy and booked for earlier interview appointment, luckily there's a slot for sept 10 so i took it.

in short, we were approved july 29 and finished my interview sept 10. now im still waiting for my passport with visa. just my tip to expedite the process, don't wait for the notice before making a move, if you can call the embassy then do it even if you don't have the notice as long as you have your new case number.

                  goodluck

I Love the ideas that you gave me........but I have another question! LOL

how did you know where to get your medical exam? We've searched for this information, and couldn't find anything.....also the police report. We'd love to schedule the interview date now, but worried we won't have all of the documents and information they request.........for the final interview. Also, did you need all of the copies that were submitted with the I-129? My lawyer gave me a list of things we need, and that is one of them....I want to have every piece of information that they need! LOL....is there any chance you can email me a list of things that you needed for your interview? my email is [email protected] if you can......thank you!!! So excited for you......can't wait for that day for us......when we are just waiting for the visa!!!!

the documents needed and the clinic/hospital for the medical exam is specific to every embassy. which country or embassy will your fiance be applying to? check their website for sure they have the procedure for a K1 applicant. in our case, my fiancee in US send me all the documents she submitted when filling the I-129F, all the notices she got and the remaining documents required by the embassy in manila like the affidavit of support, W2, my birth certificate, cenomar, pics, letters, phone bills etc. ill try to get back to you soon but i hope this info would help...goodluck!

I would love to discuss or get advice about my case. My fiance and I have been engaged for over a year and we are wanting to get married as soon as possible just like everyone here I'm sure ...

August 28th, 2009-received notification from NVC stating our papers had been sent Paris and that my fiance will receive documents that he needs to present at time of interview.
September 18th, 2009-called NVC because my fiance has still not received the packet that he's supposed to get.
I know every case is a little different but I'd love to know details about the rest of the process in Paris for example what you need so I can start working on the paperwork now. Anyone's fiance from France and had/or is having a similar experience let me know.

                              Questions:
He has not received his documents or paperwork should he call the Embassy in Paris and schedule interview or to ask when they are sending the paperwork??
How long about does it take from this point because we made a tentative date for December 19th, 2009 to get married it's our goal is this possible?
What kind of documents do you need to present when you go for your medical examinations/interview, what can I start working on now? How do I know if I need the affidavit of support form I-134?
What kind of questions do they ask you at the interview?
What should I avoid or look out for?
I love him so much, please help me know what I can do to help get him here as fast as possible, I know everyone else is praying for the same.

hi there, that was a fast process, congratulations.
regarding to your questions, i will try to answer them based on our experience.

-when you got the nvc notice and yet you haven't received any from the embassy, call he embassy right away. there you can get an interview schedule and maybe they can give you an email notice instead. that happens to me also and i did call the embassy.

-with regards to the process from interview till he gets to your place, i think its a case to case basis but what i can see in your wedding date, i guess it's more than enough time to finish the process and be there with you on your wedding day.

-on the medical, just keep fit and be healthy, everything will be fine.

-interview is a breeze when you really know each other, nothing is complicated, just tell the truth and you'll be approved.

-with the documents, try to visit the embassy web site where your fiance will apply for the visa, probably they have the procedures and list of documents needed for the interview so you can prepare them ahead of time, you can safe time on time. for sure they will look for the affidavit of support form, your income documents like tax forms, wages or pay stubs etc.

goodluck and have fun on the process...
