My petiton was received on May 15 and I got a recepit letter two dats later. I also did a i129f, don't know if I was right or wrong but my question is should I be hearing something from them soon. I guess I am tired of waiting and any news will cheer me up. Thanks in advance.

was it something minor they requested like more evidence? did you get it off to them? I also called and spoke to a rep. all he said was that the cases are being processed and sice the time frame is five months, I guess he was saying that there is no need to worry yet unless the five months have passed. I did not know it was going to be this hard but God is great. I wish you the best. What type of petition did you file anyway?

        evidence sent.........

was about 65 pictures of My Love and me...plane ticket copies with passport/immigration stamps attached, gmail printscreen copies, phone records....(a few) ticket stubs we had of a Rugby game attached to a photo of us in front of the stadium, train ticket copies with pix of us at the train station together.......we organized everything for them....dated and put the place of where the photos were taken and put each category of photos in it's own separate ziploc bag. If the government cant see how much we are in love with each other by looking at allll of the pix we sent....I don't know. I know we are happier than a lot of the people out there in this world that are able to legally get married! I'm sure you know what I mean. They received our packet of evidence on yesterday! Now just waiting for our APPROVAL from them so we can continue with the next step. This waiting is crazy. I wish I could just marry My Love now and have him here permanently NOW. He's leaving tomorrow.......and I'm going to just be crushed to pieces again when I have to say goodbye.......this part just really sucks, but I know our Journey together is going to be permanently very soon together, and there won't be anymore goodbyes! How are things going with your K1?

          wondering

Actually we are going the k3 route. this was really confusing for me because there was no one to help and everything I found out was off these forums. I was married in senegal in march. I sent the same eveidence as you because that is what the form instructed plus marriage certificate and a few other things. I don't think we will be penalized for sending to much eveidence. I went back last month and you are right, the hardest part is leaving your love but the wait will be worth it once we are together with the love of our lives hahaha. so I pray that I will hear something soon and I pray that everything moves fast forward for you and your love.

wow francks ! 65 pictures... I sent 3 lol but was advised by a lawyer this was all that was needed.

But as I've said many times on this forum you don't get penalized for sending more than is needed, and it's piece of mind I suppose

I think there is a point where more may delay you. It will take time to look at all 65 pictures hehe.

                    wondering

yeah, that's what i have been reading but i hope not that much longer. do you know how long it takes after the approval? have you heard if they are quick about getting whatever sent to the embassy that will be handling everything. my husband had his examination already but it is only good for three months so he will probably have to do it over. he also has all his other documents and has them translated. we have been fooling ourselves since we began the process. we are hoping that by october he will be on his way here.
