USCIS Lost approved petition

After waiting 6months for the approval on my petiton4.6.09, & waiting an addtional 90days (7.6.09) to find out the NVC still had not received the petition to forward to the consulate, My congressmans aide has reported to me that USCIS has confirmed to them that they LOST MY APPROVED PETITION.

Now I have to resubmit all my paperwork with copies of all the inquiries I've made & they've responded to. I've never been so frustrated....the only consolation is that once I resubmit the paperwork, my application should be expedidted w/the letter from my congressmans office.

I began this petition process in October 08.....I can't believe it's almost going to be a year & all I have to show for it is their receipts confirming their approval & I've got to start this all over again.

uggggggggh......from what office did they lose it? How scary! I'm sure they will process you very quickly!!! Try to be positive.......this whole ordeal wears on you though!! Stay strong! Sorry this is happening to you.....what a nightmare!

The responsible party was the Vermont office

As you say, one thing you should be able to take from this, is that it should, in all honesty, take a matter of days after submittal to get your 2nd approval... if it doesn't i would be making my congressman phone UCSIS to ensure it does...
