I'll try and keep this shorter than my last. I just want to be sure I get this right the first time I submit it!
As far as proving our intent to marry, people here suggest submitting receipts for engagement rings, proof of wedding plans, etc. I'm worried because we just don't have this. We're spending so much on traveling back and forth that a ring will have to wait. And we communicate daily via phone or skype, therefore we only have one or two emails that even mention a wedding. Besides, we're having a small civil ceremony because both our families live far away and probably will not attend, so there are no plans to really discuss. Is this going to be a problem for us? Should we provide any explanation for this in a cover letter? Any suggestions on other ways to prove this? I'm just afraid that the evidence that we are using to establish the relationship and show that we're in love may not be enough to also convince them that we intend to marry. Or am I overthinking this?
Also, I planned to cross out some of the more personal or embarrassing contents of the cards and e-mails I'm submitting. This shouldn't be a problem, right?
