  • K1 & b2

    Hi everyone,

I have a valid B2 visa that will expire in 11 months. And we have started the process of K1 visa already. I am planning to visit my fiance in the U.S. in 6 months. Will I be refused entry??? Thank you in advance

    One thing you should do.......

don't bring too much like you're moving here.....bring proof that you are still living there from your landlord......or the lease of your home.....show that you are not intending to stay in the US My Honey was almost sent back when he came this summer. Customs knows evvvvvvverything about you already when you come!!! Just be honest with them, that you're fiance is here, but try to have proof for yourself that you intend to go back to your country!! They will also ask you how much money you have on you.....too much, or you could not have enough!

Be relaxed and answer the questions honestly. The initial inspection just verifies your travel documents, if you are nervous they may pull you off to the side for further inspection and check your luggage.

I would not volunteer any information about the K-1 VISA unless they ask about it.

Resist the temptation to start bringing things for your new life here. Just pack your luggage like a normal tourist trip. No wedding dress, No keep sakes (IE childhood photographs) bring that stuff when you have the K-1 VISA
My Fiancee arrived here on a K-1 VISA.
      Conditional GreenCard has been received.

they never even mentioned the K1 application last time I went, nor did they ask me what the purpose of my stay was, they presumed I was flying into Las Vegas to gamble I suppose. Had they asked I had all evidence and would have been completely open.

          Thank you all

Thank you, Francksgirl, Russell and Woodger! Now I know that I should not take the risk of being deported from the airport. The immigration should be more understanding of such situations - since one has already started the legal procedures, they are ready to follow the book and with a tourist visa, their intent is only to visit for a short period of time.

It was awful that day... I felt like I was waiting forever that day at the airport...he couldn't even call me. After they told him to wait to be ? They came back with a huge file of him. They knew that he came to the us twice before and even knew that I went to visit him a month prior. They ? Him and he answered honestly and 3 hours later he finally came out! They knew of the k1 process and told him he wouldn't be allowed back to the us until he had it. They treated him like acriminal. It was awful.... We just want to be together.....that's it. I miss him soooooooo much.... It's sooo hard being apart....I can't wait to be approved so we can finally be together. This is just taking sooooo long and the thing that sucks we are just another number....good luck... Just be honest...don't bring a ton of stuff. You should be ok if you haven't made alot of trips here
