  • Providing picture proof

When submitting photos to prove your relationship, I read on here that you should submit 5 maximum. Is that correct? My fiance and I have a ton of photos from the past 2 years and I tend to think submitting more would be better, but my fiance disagrees and says we should stick with the 5 maximum.

Can anyone give me some guidance with this? Thank you!

    Hi again!

I sent 6 in with my original k1 application, and when it was around the time for the approval..........they asked for more evidence.........now it's another month or longer that we had planned. So my opinion...send 10-12. Also, I sent in 5 professional pictures of My Honey and I thinking that was a good idea, and 1 pic of us by my brothers cabin. My hair was curly....the professional pix my hair was straight....so I'm not sure if that was why too. But, I would think at least 10 pix....I'm still waiting for the approval! Now they have 65 pics to choose from! Hey.....they wanted additional evidence....they have it now....I'm so impatient!

I sent in four with my additional evidence. Inside her house at dinner, outside her house in the snow, a picture of an intimate moment after I proposed, and one at a restaurant.

Each photograph I sent was just the two of us. On the back clearly write the names of everyone in the photograph, date, time, and Location (address of Location if possible).

They probably have to look at every piece of paper and photograph you send in and examine it. So sending too much probably delays your case and everyones behind you.

I disagree Russell, it shouldn't delay. I sent about 20 pictures, at least 20copies of letters, 10 airline ticket stubs, at least 10 pages of telephone bills, copy of invoice for engagement rings in addition to the application forms and cover letter etc. My petition got approved within the timeline of 2-3 months. So I say the more the better. Keep in mind that the important thing is to have it well organized and formatted. If they receive a pile of stuff, then yeah, I would agree that it would take time. I guarantee that they appreciate a well organized application.
