Can you re-file if denied?

I searched this site but couldn't find anyone who asked this question prior. If you are denied your K-1 petition, can you re-file it again?

Depends on why you were denied.

Most likely you can refile.

We were denied because we didn't submit initial evidence/documentation with the I-129F form. We can appeal, however, I have been advised by an immigration lawyer that the appeal can take longer and there is no guarantee that it will be overturned, as technically the director of the VSC didn't err in denying us. The immigration attorney said that as far as he knew, we could re-file but I just wanted to see if anyone on here knew for sure. Thanks!
