Our K1 application is finally approved! It is approximately 7 months since filing at USCIS. All of my uncertainties were answered here, even the last minute, I even got a confusion in filling out form I-134, thanks to Nichole and the rest of the guys who eased my mind and gave a good advice . I really did not know what to do if not without this website. You guys have been such a great help - thank you very very much! Anyone who needs help, just send me a message and I will reply to you, the best that I can
But of course, our journey has not ended yet. I guess, this is just the beginning. I got my visa sticked on my passport and I am ready to go this September. I've heard I will still be asked by the immigration officer at the Point of Entry (POE). Does anyone know something about this? What are the preparations that should be made? Do you guys have an idea what they would be asking? Will they require me to show money? or will they ask how many dollars do I have with me? My friend was also asked before but she was on a tourist visa. I wonder if they will ask the same thing on K1 Visa.
Also, is it possible to ask the immigration officer if he can give me a work authorization stamp? If so, what would be the best thing to say?
As I've said, the journey hasn't ended yet. After getting in to meet and marry my fiance, what would be the next steps to do?
Your advice will be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much and goodluck to all!
