Hi, I hope some of you can help me!
To sum up my situation, I had my petition approved mid August and sent to the US Embassy in London. After several weeks went by, I rang to check if they had received it, and they said yes and that the packet 3 had been sent out to me a while ago. I had never received it though - probably due to the current postal strikes - and as the lady I spoke to said, sometimes things go askew. She said not to worry as the packet only contains links to forms to fill out, and since I was on their system I could just fill out and send the forms as if I were applying to packet 3, and I would receive a letter with an interview date.
However, now I am concerned because I have read that packet 3 also contains information about scheduling the medical exam. I did not think to enquire about this on the phone as I had previously thought that the embassy arranged the exam for you.
Does anyone know what exactly packet 3 says re. scheduling a medical exam? My main questions are
1. Do I have to have an interview date at the embassy before I can schedule the medical exam? Or can I just go ahead and ring them now?
2. Do the results of the medical exam have an expiry date (ie how far ahead can i get it?)
Thank you very much to anyone who can help me!
