i received an email this morning from the embassy in dakar. they have received my husband's file and sent me the instructions to send to him. Great News!!!!!!!!!!! but while I reading over it, I noticed they ask for birth certificates. Do they need my birth certificate or are they only talking about his? I have had a real problem getting my birth certificate here. Have tried for many many months. Can someone please let me know as soon as possible what I need to do if this is so. We have come so far but God is Great so someone please tell me. Thanks

Birth certificates are required.
the US citizen must submit a copy of the birth certificate with the 129f petition and The foreign fiancee must bring an official copy of the birth certificate (with certified translation if not in English).
There might be an exception if your country has well known problems with unregistered births or no official ways to get a replacement official copy. Perhaps you should try contacting the dakar embassy.
My Fiancee arrived here on a K-1 VISA.
Conditional GreenCard has been received.
