my fiance got a appointment letter from us consulate for a interview for k1 visa.Due to father illness he has to ask for another appointment for the future date.Could any one tell me how soon they will give this appontment.thanks

Depends on how busy the embassy is.

Usually they will give you the first available time slot for your appointment once your name comes up but my fiancee asked for a later date since I was flying to her a week later, so that we could go to the embassy together.
