This process is finally almost OVER!! My husband had his interview at the US Embassy in Caracas, Venezuela on Tuesday. All went well, although he waited about 7 hours to be interviewed. They didn't ask much, and didn't really ask to see any of the encyclopeadia sized binder of proof he brought. They asked him questions about my educational background, my family (ie my Mothers full name, etc) and they even tried to trick him a bit. They said "so what is your GIRLFRIEND'S Mother's name??" Well, he didn't catch it and he just answered the question, not wanting to contradict the woman. Anyway, it didn't matter. After a few more questions, they sent him to pay the package delivery fee and said "congratulations your visa has been approved, you will receive your passport in 8-10 days"
Well, this is the 2nd day after the interview and his visa JUST ARRIVED!! We didn't even have to wait the 8 day minimum!! I am soooo excited that this process is nearly finished and we will be able to be together again in the same country without having to leave each other every few months!!!
Thanks everyone who gave advice during this difficult and incredibly stressful process! For those of you still in it, good luck!!!
