Question about K1 Visa

After one is approved for the K1 Visa, how long is the Visa valid for? Meaning that I want to know if my spouce was approved today, how long could she stay in the Phillippines before her K1 Visa expires.

On a side note, would it be better if i married her in manila or just went through withthe K1 Visa?

Once approved, her visa is good for travel for 6 months. As far as your side note- if u have already filed the K-1 visa, then u must bring her to your country to marry. If you marry her in the Philippines then you must reapply and pay the fees all over again. Good luck and God bless. [email protected]

Marriage is a bad word when you are filling for a K-1 VISA.

More than one person has told me about being denied a K-1 VISA for mentioning the marriage a mock wedding. Be very careful, I would not risk a legal marriage even after the VISA arrived.

After the VISA arrived I flew in my parents and had a little **** wedding. I wanted one that both parents could attend.
