Thank you for posting your progress times! I hope you don't mind my questions but my fiance is from England also.

When we received our NOA2 on October 23, 2009, our letter stated that our case is being assigned to the London consolate, but I am confused as to what we are supposed to do next? Do we just wait to get more information from the consulate? I don't want to sit around and do nothing if we could be doing something to help hurry the process!

I am the U.S. Citizen and the female. My fiance is from Yorkshire, England and obviously, the male

        Hi Smiths

interestingly, where abouts in the US are you from, and whereabouts in yorkshire is your fiance from ?

You are currently waiting for packet 3 now from the embassy which will provide you with further information on what you need to do, mine took aruond 3 weeks after NOA2 so patience is a virtue

however this link will tell you everything that the packet will so start working from this... https://www.immihelp.com/usa-visas/k...e-process.html

Thank you so much for the link!

I am from New Jersey. Hmmmm, I didn't realize that there are different parts of Yorkshire. I believe he is about 15 minutes away from Leeds.

What part of England are you from?

That is too funny! How ironic!!!

Where is your fiance from in the United States? Do you get to visit here often?

Yes , I fly out there a lot for small but valuable visits

Unfortunately my fiance doesn't want anything related to her on any websites or forums, very safe I know, but she was recently a victim of fraud and since is very cautious, and I have to respect her wishes. I have to fly to the west coast when I visit if that gives any small indication.

Would be great to know which town ur fiance is from !

So your not too far off now, if your very very lucky you could have your fiance with you for Christmas, if you get all the paperwork sent off as soon as you receive the notification from the embassy.

I wrote a covering letter detailing when I would prefer to have my interview based on how I had made arrangements to travel to the US already, I hadn't paid for anything, but I had made arrangements, and they gave me my interview exactly when I asked for it in the covering letter so we can be together by Christmas, they DO have a heart after all

Believe me, I totally understand your fiance wanting to keep her private life that way. We are the same way. Unfortunately, due to our circumstances, we need to reach out to others to get assistance and help from people who have been through the same situation.

My fiance is here in the United States right now on a visitor's visa We filed our I-129F in September and we didn't think we would hear anything from the Vermont Service Center for 5 months or more, so he made arrangements to come and visit me for the holidays. His father is taking in his mail for him so we have someone to let us know when the London package comes!!

Not sure if he's been keeping up with the UK news, but we've had bad postal strikes here which have been holding up alot of mail.

I hope you hear something soon !

                      Hi

I am so happy to hear that things are on track for you, I was hoping to ask you a couple of questions if that's ok?

I'm a UK Citizen also, my fiance is a US Citizen.

He filed the application for a K1 Visa on 22.5.09.

He received an email from the USCIS on 30.5.09 acknowledging receipt.

On the 22.9.09 he received a request for further evidence which was sent and receipt acknowledged.

On 10.11.09 he received an email (prior to the letter arriving by snail mail) and we are now in the "Post decision activity" stage.

I'm sorry if I appear a but thick lol, I know they have now changed the layout of the USCIS web page, but how does this measure up to yours? Although he has had some correspondence from the USCIS none of them actually state "NOA" so how far along the process do you think we might be.

I have tried to match it to yours but I'm finding it difficult as a result

Any help is most greatly appreciated.

                      Isabel
