  • Form Question

    Hello,
I'm working on my fiance's K-1 visa application and biographical form but I have a question regarding the addresses... he is from a country in Africa and they do not have street names and house numbers. What should I put down? Will district names be sufficient?

Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

    Its quite easy

You'll have to ask him what is postal address is

If he got mail this week... you want to know his name and exactly how his address was written down. If he doesn't get mail he won't get the embassy paperwork and you'll be waiting forever!

Phone/email or do what you do and make sure you have it written down exactly as written in English. He definately needs a proper address that he can reliably be at or access for months.

Thanks for the information. I guess I was more worried about the past address history. He has a PO Box now through his work. However, mail is not the most reliable thing there! Just another of many concerns in getting this visa taken care of!

Each embassy has it's own rules.

The embassy for my wifes country did not require her to receive the actual packet that they sent to her by mail. The important thing was that she was on the list for interviews and she could just download the forms from the embassy website.
My Fiancee arrived here on a K-1 VISA.
