I am a USA citizen trying to figure out how to bring my fiancee who is from Argentina to the States to get married. We want to marry in the States and file for a K-1. My problem is that I can't provide the financial support because I have basically been volunteering and living in Central America for the past 5 years. I am trying to work on a sponsor from one of my parents. My fiancee has a property in Argentina which he is trying to sell.
Also my fiancee overstayed his visa when he last was in the States. He overstayed 3 years. Anyone know how this might effect us? We both currently live in Central America and If we had better chances of getting married here, or in his country of Argentina, then we would consider that option.
In keeping with our original goal of getting married in the States, would my best bet be to come back and get a job here in the States and try and sell his property to put the money in a bank account of mine?
