Our civil surgeon accepted a vacination report from my wife's home country. She was missing one vaccination and they gave her the missing vaccination at no additional charge.

    No boosters required.
My Fiancee arrived here on a K-1 VISA.
    Conditional GreenCard has been received.

May 21, 2010 my wife had her Biometrics appointment. It was a very pleasant experience (the task is contracted to a private company, not done by guvmint). It took us 30 mins to get a decent of fingerprints for her but we were attended to immediately even though we were 30 mins early.

In the meantime, after our biometrics May 21 (AOS filed April 21), my wife just got her EAD card by mail today (it was issued July 7). Making progress, step by step.

The AOS interview is up in a few weeks (Aug 9).

            It is Finished

We had our interview today. The much awaited and prepared for day came - Aug 9.

We were there 40 mins early. The process was extremely organized and we barely waited 10 mins past our appt time to be called in.

I accompanied my wife to the AO's office (Adjudicator Officer). We were seated and the door was left open. He asked my wife a couple of perfunctory questions (all Biographical and about illegal activities, commie party membership, arrested? stuff).

He then asked me about I-693 and I replied that we had filed it (he had it) with just the vac records endorsed by a US Civil Surgeon. Then he said that he has approved my wife for her GC. But that he had to wait for our I-130 file to come to his office from the one it was filed at.

We do not have to go again for another interview. Just have to wait for the GC by US Mail.

Formal approval of AOS letter rec'd last week after nearly 8-9 week wait post interview. Now, apparently my wife's GC should be here by US Mail in another 3 weeks.

Wheels are turning but slowly. However, for once, I am not losing sleep or my cool.

No sooner had I posted an update yesterday on our "long" saga/wait... my wife's actual GC was delivered in to our hands (it is green now ) by regular US Mail (nondescript envelope).

It is over at least for the next 2 yrs (less a few months to file for removal of conditional approval.
