During the interviews, do they interview the fiance in their native tongue? or is it always in English? I just got into a big fight with my fiance over the phone about this. Someone give me some insight on this?

Cannot speak for Asian countries but it is still the US Embassy. Their goal is to ascertain admissibility. Thus, every chance must be given to the applicant to express themselves without a language barrier. Not knowing English at this juncture cannot be turned in to a liability as it would be blatantly unfair.
And as I recall, from recent experience, my wife was asked questions in English. The ones she appeared not to understand immediately, were quickly repeated by the interviewer (DOS staffer) in my wife's native tongue. I must say the staffer's fluency was impressive (I was able to overhear the entire interview)
