I-130 Filed K3/K4 in USA AOS

We have filed a I-130 and subsequent I-129F for K3 and K4 (minor children). My husband is visiting me in the USA. Would it be possible to file I-485 and adjust status at this time, while my husband is here in USA?

Also, how would we proceed to adjust status of minor children? Thanks

Or would it be easier to go back to home country and wait for Consulate to contact me.

You mention filing both I-130 and the I-129F. Were either or both favorably adjudicated? Assuming it was the I-129F that was approved, then you must have a case number and if in your app you indicated visa interview in the applicant's (not petitioner) native country, then you would have to clear that step.

As far as I understand, AOS (I-485) is only after one enters the US on a non-immigrant visa. At least that is how our application has proceeded.

Many thanks for your reply, we have received a receipt number only at this stage, and yes we indicated that the interview was to take place in UK. Seemingly a long wait ahead !!!!!!

Does your receipt number begin with KEV or WAC - The latter being Notice of Action (NOA, receipt)

See full sentence. .. esp the part about "Latter". That is why it is relevant. One is important in follow up - KEV, the other is just an acknowledgment of filing i.e., notice of action or approval. However, the WAC prefix, in our case, did diddly to get my wife her interview. Thus, in the context of this thread, I wanted to amplify the differences and relevance between two sets of "numbers".
