My petition for my fiance for the K-1 Visa was approved through the VSC on 10/19/2009 and our approval letter says the approval is valid until 2/19/2010. My fiance submitted his packet 3 to the London Embassy and he was told he should be receiving his interview letter by the 2nd week of February. I am concerned about our "deadline" of 2/19/2010. If he doesn't get the K-1 Visa by 2/19/2010, are we out of luck? It isn't like we have procrastinated - we have to wait for the Embassy to give him his interview?!! Any help with this would be greatly appreciated!! Thank you!!!!

I am faced with the same problem, our petition approval deadline is up on the 9th March, my pack 3 paperwork was received at the Embassy on 22.12.09 so I am anxious to know when I might get called to interview and was told early March?? it takes 6-8 wks from receipt of your paperwork then a further 4 weeks which is the notice I'll be given for the interview, I explained that I would be cutting it fine for the 4mo deadline for expiration was was told it will be ok and all I have to do is get the petitioner (my fiance in the US) to write a statement saying that he still wants to marry me and will do so within the 90 days and have it notarized and sent to me to take to interview.

thank you, I hope yours comes within the time stated, it's such a nuisance, we couldn't have turned the paperwork around any quicker than we did, this is solely a hold up at the Embassy in London................they seem to have us jumping through hoops..................my fingers are crossed for you.Comment
