yep, just wait jrlover14. if you wanted you could start having your fiance gather documents. birth certificates, police reports, etc....like Whsia said they will be reviewing your case and then will send you another notification that it's forwarded to your fiance's consulate.

after that the consulate should take over and will probably send your fiance instructions of what to gather. is your fiance from Taiwan?

I am a Filipina and my fiance(e) is from Philippines... Oh so he can start gathering documents then? What about the DS paperwork? I'm really confuse which one to fill up..... thank's again guys for your inputs....

I think the DS paperwork include the DS230 which needs to be returned right away filled out. Then you have the DS156 and DS156k (both are sorta the same so becareful, they are plainly marked in the upper right hand corner). All have to be original copies with original signatures. =)

i will try to look at it den thanks again...sorry if im kinda bothering u...getting an agent is really expensive so im trying to do it on my own...hmmm how bout the affidavit of support does it need to be notarized? and what do dey need?like i u know do u have to have certain amount in the bank?

Wait buddy =) Youre almost done. The NVC is reviewing your stuff for about 2-4 weeks (mine took about a week and a half), then they're goign to forward yours to the consulate and will notify you through mail.

oh i see thank you very much u guys is a big help...so now all we have to do is wait for the NVC's notice right? i hope its gonna be fast i cant wait to be with him already!

The affidavit of support does not need to be notorized, as for how much, i think its 1 1/2 of what the poverty line is. Someone here should know more about it, but i think it was somewhere 19,000 or above a year...i think.

my bad, i didn't clarify this part. I believe its the DS230 but you get that in packet 3 when your fiance receives packet to schedule the interview as well as gather all the information needed by the consulate (ie. police cert, medical). There is a section in this website that tells you what to do with the DS230. When my fiance receieved her, it stated for her to fill it out and send it back in right away, BUT like i say, you only get it in packet three. If you are filling out the DS156 and DS156k you have some waiting to do before the 230 comes in =) So don't worry about that until you get it, for now just concentrate on the task at hand. 1/6/10- came back from Taiwan after visiting my Fiance.

1/12/10- started compiling paper work and filling out forms.
a. You need an Original Signature on the G345 (someone told me to have four originals signed which i did, four is always better then one ^_^) so i fedexed it to my fiance and she signed it and sent it back.

1/26/10- Fedexed my paperwork and forms to LA

2/1/10 First NOA arrived in mail.

3/1/10 Second NOA has arrived, being forwarded to NVC for a duration about 2-4 weeks

3/9/10 Received letter stating that NVC will forward I129F to Taiwan consulate where they will contact my fiance for interview information.

3/11/10 Fiance Received packet regarding I129F....holy crap...its almost done....

3/14/10 Mailed in DS230

3/31/10 Fiance had her Interview, all that was missing was the I 134 which is en route right now to her.

4/7/10 The taiwanese Consulate is going to mail something to her. I'm hopping its the Visa...but could it be a rejection notice also? Anyone?

5/4/10 Fiance Arrived at 7:30pm in San Fran, and will be spending sometime with her brother first, then i will go over and pick her up and bring her back home to Las Vegas. Chapter Closed, now for the beginning of a New Chapter. Thank you all once again =)

So you are working through the Embassy in the Philippines? It may be different than Whsia and my experience then. Our fiances went through AIT (the US consulate in Taiwan). Seems like you're process is moving along though. Just follow the instructions they send and the interview should come soon. good luck.
