  • K1 not married in 90 days

I had been visiting immihelp.com for a while. This site has lot of good information. But I could not find the information I was looking for. There might be many other people who are in the same situation I was. I was very much worried. I want to help readers of this site by providing following information:

My fiancee arrived in USA in 2005. We were supposed to get married in 90 days, but we could not get married due to some reasons. We got married in Oct 2009. Then we filed for I-130, I-485, and I-765 togather. She got her green card in Fed 2010. Our case was processed in New York. Following is the time line:

    Fiancee arrived in USA: 05/2005
    Got married: 9/28/2009
    Filed I-130, I-485 and I-765: 11/5/2009
Received a letter to get finger printed: 11/13/2009
    Finger Print date: 12/02/2009
Got a letter for interview: 1/08/2010
    Interview date: 02/17/2010
Case apporved for Green Card: 02/17/2010

I would advise to hire an immigration attorney. We did not hire any attorney though.

Again, I would like to thank all the immihelp.com posters for great and useful information.

Did you have to pay any extra fines for waiting longer than 90 days?
My Fiancee arrived here on a K-1 VISA.
    Conditional GreenCard has been received.
