  • Suspension of k-1 visa by London Embassy cos of Income Tax Return

Hi guys, i had my interview yesterday(4th March) at the London Embassy but the visa was not issued, i had the normal interview with a consular officer and was asked the usual questions of when did you first meet, how long have you been together, how many times have we visited each other and where he lives in the states, when are we getting married etc. Normal simple questions but the one i couldn't answer was 'where in Cincinnati are getting married? as in the venue address, i told her i didn't know. Anyway, at the end she said everything seems good but she won't be issuing the visa immediately because i have not provided my fiance income tax return for 2008 and 2009 which we didn't know. I am very sure if i had time to visit this forum i would have picked that info and asked my boo to send them. The consul then gave me a form and asked me to get the tax return from my fiance and call the Embassy courier number to come pick up my passport and the documents from me. I will get the documents by next week surely but my question is, how long will it take the embassy to collect and stamp the visa and return my passport to me, i missed spending valentine with him not Easther again. Your responses will be appreciated. Many thanks for your time.

My fiancee (now wife) left her police certificate at the translator as they needed one more day with it. I had told her to get all the translations done in her home town but she waited until she got to the capitol to find a translator /grrrr.

We did the VISA interview without the police certificates and after the interview she was told that she has a pending approval. We rushed to get the original and translated copy to the embassy the next day.

One week later her passport with VISA stamp arrived at her house.
My Fiancee arrived here on a K-1 VISA.
    Conditional GreenCard has been received.
