I am a US citizen. I filed I-130 for my husband on Jan 2010. USCIS received I-130 on Jan 12 2010. And filed I-129F; they received on Jan 22nd 2010. I haven't heard anything from them yet. It's about to be 3 months since i filed I-130. Do you have any idea how long it will take. Any suggestions will be helpful. Thank you

Thank you for your reply. I am really confused. What the heck this I -129F for? Isn't this process for the spouses to come to the State and wait for the immigration process, meaning waiting in the States instead of home country while I-130 is pending?
The time frame for I-130 and I -129F is same, it doesn't make any sense to me. The time line sucks. Can't believe they make us wait months and months to have legally married spouses.

From what I understand, previously, fiances got to the US faster than spouses. Thus, Congress in its infinite wisdom, conjured up the I-129F for married spouses to jump on the non-immigrant, fast rolling, wagon to get to the US and then AOS here.
If it has not occurred to anyone reading this, Congress, in its infinite revenue enhancement wisdom, got this I-129F process to help them with additional revenue collection. The total fees paid for I-129F+AOS > soley an I-130.
You pay more but get here sooner. Not that I am complaining as it worked for me and my wife.
