  • Cruise on a K3

For our 1st Anniversary, I want to take my wife on a Caribbean cruise with ports of call at Haiti, Jamaica and Mexico (Cozumel).

With her multiple entry K3, I do not foresee an issue with reentry and the cruise folks did assure me that at Port of embarkation they will take the I-94 from her (much like airlines staff do for international flights). On return, at disembarkation, I presume that the DHS or CBP will stamp her new I-94.

Question however pertains to the ports of call. The cruise folks assured me that she would not have an issue disembarking at these places as our stay will not exceed 24 hrs on foreign soil and as a cruise passenger, she is extended this latitude without having to get visas from each of those countries.

Is this kosher or are they simply trying to get us to book and buy the tickets?

Independent of this, we will have filed for our AOS by then.

Although I am only an American and not an Alien, I have been on a cruise...

The only thing you need to get on and off the boat is your "sign and sail" card. When entering the boat initially they take a picture, and after leaving the boat at a port of call, you scan your card and the pic pops up, and then when you come back, you scan it again and your pic pops again, as long as you match your picture, you will be good to go.

Regardless of any type of Visa or No Visa.

Thank you Sydfan. I had forgotten about the "sign and sail" card from a prior cruise I had taken.
