thats probably what it is, is just requesting more evidence of your relationship. For me, i sent in well over 200 pictures as well as my phone bills of me calling. The pictures were from when we first met, till the last time i was with her. 2 years timeline of pictures. Also i mailed in my passport copies of the times i've been to visit her. More info the better buddy. Good luck =)

You would normally get the written request for evidence (to know what they are requesting from you) within a week. They give you (in that letter) a specified number of days in which to respond. If you don't respond by their deadline, they can deny your petition based on not having enough information to approve it. You can call the USCIS phone number that is given on your receipt. Explain the date your status changed and that you did not receive the request. Actually if you listen to the menu, there should be a number to push if you have a request for evidence. Ask to speak to an immigration official if the first person you speak to doesn't tell you anything but to wait. If you ask enough times, they will often bump you up to speak with somebody who can dig up more information on your case.

It's possible that the online status is incorrect or any number of other things. If you moved, then your RFE might have gone to the wrong address. You shouldn't wait more than two weeks if you see a request for evidence status change without checking on where the paper copy has gone.

address to send in I-129F RFE

for more than a month my I-129F case status shows Request for Evidence, but I have not recieved any letters yet. I am thinking thinking about sending them additional photos and plane ticket reciepts but don't know to which address I should send the RFE response. I sent the original application to USCIS, CSC, P.O Box 30111, Laguna Niguel, CA 92607. Should I use the same address for sending them the RFE response? Thanks.

Don't send anything unless you have the yellow paper (RFE) telling exactly what they want. You must send additional evidence along with the yellow paper to a specific address they will give you. Otherwise the things you send in will not be matched up with your application file.

A request for evidence does not necesssarily mean more relationship evidence. It could mean you didn't sign a form or you didn't check a certain checkbox or you skipped a question on a form.

If you haven't received the letter from USCIS telling what they are requesting, then you should follow up as I mentioned in the other post. Do not let your petition get denied because you didn't supply all the information they requested before the deadline the letter will give you.

FYI: sending 200 photos with an application is ridiculous. Has anybody ever considered that if you send them so much stuff that they can't get it in a proper folder or find the information they do need, then that could slow down your case as well? If I was a worker and saw a folder with 5 inches of evidence, I would put it down and go to the next thinking "I don't feel like working through that mess right now. Maybe tomorrow."

That was one thing our erstwhile attny stressed we not do - inundate the case reviewer with too much. (yeah the guy had his good moments )

So, we have been very selective and grouped our pictures in to three, and now for AOS, five, lots/albumns (mini ones and pic sizes - 4x6

                1) From 1st meeting to engagement
                2) Engagement to Wedding
                3) Wedding and Honeymoon
                4) Post Wedding till K3 was issued
                5) In the US

That way they can wade through the stuff and see the relevance of the pics easily.
