  • Affidavit of Support (Unemployment Compensation)

I have been stressing about this and would love to know if anyone has any knowledge or experience on this issue.

I have a tax return well above the poverty level for last year and previous years but lost my job not all that long ago and am now on unemployment. I make more then I need to on unemployment for my needs to be past the 125% level. I've been trying HARD to find a job but it has been nearly impossible but I want to know if this income will still count towards what I need to show for support.

I have lost many things in my life and have chosen to live with my mother so we can help each other out as she is in the same boat with being on unemployment. She makes more then needed and in previous years so together that should help but is it needed and is it enough?

We can also add my mother's assets that are well above the five times limit.

Does anyone know anything about this issue? It is the only issue I am really concerned about but it is seriously stressing me out.

    hi

I think if you have previous 3 years tax return well above the required level they do understand the current economy and allow your spouse to get in. After all once the economy is back in track u will find a job.
