request for expedited passport after K1 VISA approval

Hi Folks,

My K1 interview is on May 21 in New Delhi. Based on our tradition we want to get married on May 27. I need to travel to travel to USA on May 25.

I have already booked my tickets and have also mentioned on DS-156.

Assuming that I get the K1 approved,

1. can I request the officer verbally to expedite the passport delivery to VFS? I can then pick up the passport from VFS
personally.

2. do I also present a written request co-signed by my USC finacee? But the question is if this this going to work in our favor or not?

A prompt reply from all knowledgeable folks in this community will be helpful. Thanks in advance!

The embassy that I went too would not allow us to pick up the passport and insisted that it be delivered to my fiancees (now wife) house.

It took about one week to get to her house.

Maybe your embassy will be different.

I am also in simmilar situation. Can others also PLEASE suggest wat to do?

Even for me marriage date is so close to the date of interview.. What should I do?

New Delhi embassy says they cannot tell the time it will take to give the passport and papers back... it can be 3-4-7 days !!

Can someone suggest how to expedite?

I have questions...My fiance and me got approved I129F last week.. I m happy, but so nervous....How long time will take for transfer from NVC to embassy in my country (Yugoslavia), how long you was wait for interview?

Anybody have some advice for prepare to my interview?
