  • Green Card Interview- Does co-sponsor need to provide most recent pay stubs?

Admittedly, I'm being super-cautious here. Many of the documents listed on the Notice of Action send right before the Green Card Interview are things that you have already submitted. omegle discord xender A lawyer we met with told us that no, if the co-sponsor has already submitted documents there is no reason for them to send us brand new paystubs before our interview. Still, I've had lawyers make mistakes and wondered whether anyone had any experiences that confirmed this (or contradicted it).

Normally, they ask for an updated version of is the I-864 if tax season is over. Meaning if your co sponsor filed new taxes this year and it's not reflected in the previous I-864, then the officer will want to see a fresh affidavit of support with next tax returns. Other than that, an updated paystub is not required.

But there are other documents you should be bringing along if they're expired I-693 for medical, health insurance coverage proof, updated proof of relationship (since when you submitted the I-485 after marriage, you probably didn't have much proof of a bona fide marriage).

In addition, when is your interview? most have been canceled and postponed. Did you get a notice saying otherwise?

Good luck. I learned the hard way, I hope you don't have to. Immigration is interesting. Not considered as legal advice.

You may submit this information for the most recent three tax years, pay stubs from the most recent six months, and/or a letter from your employer if you believe any of these items will help you qualify.
