Hello I have filed a petition for my finacee who lives in the philippines. I filed on April 20, 20010 We have knoww each other and been chatting, using our webcams, emails, messenger. I spent 2 weeks visiting her in Manila. We fell in love with each other and we are so wanting to be together. I asked her to marry me while I was there and she accepted. Its so hard now I had to come back to the states. We just want to be together soon. We are really missing each other badly. Can anyone please tell us how long and what are our chances that the visa process I129F will go smoothly and quickly? I filed with the Vermont service center. my status is still in the Initial Review. I just wished I knew something or how long in should take. Please can anybody give me advice on this process, experience with this Service center, there usual processing times. the website says about 6 months now. We are hoping it will be much sooner than that. any advice on this would sure be appreciated. Please tell me how to cope with being alone now and missing her so much! Thank you very much. Randall

Average about 90 days right now for petition approval. Some recent ones have been 9-10 weeks. Some much longer. Then you have to wait on it to go through NVC. And then all the paperwork for Manila and waiting to get the appointment for the interview. Many are very successful especially if they prepare well for the interview. Many USCs attend the interview in Manila I am told. Some consulates, it doesn't matter. Other's it helps to have the fiance there.
