The work visa can be requested along with the AOS. Nicole, another Senior member here brought this to my attention when i myself asked her during my filing of the AOS. If you file for the work visa and the travel visa (I-131) together with the AOS it is all put together with the AOS filing fee. Whereas if you were to file them individually, the AOS will run you 1010.00 and i believe the travel is 300+ as well as the work visa is also 300+. So filing together would be the most beneficial for you.

As for the medical exam YES you will need another once your fiance arrives in America. It is the I-693 and it needs to be done by a doctor that is certified for this. On this website you will find a list of doctors that can do it for you in the City you live in. In my case, the doctor we went to said we had everything done and won't be needing anything else, no tests or anything and we got our I 693 back within a week. But in soem cases, if tests ARE needed and shots are given, then it could sometimes take up to 4 weeks.

If I were you, id make sure I get the 693 done ASAP because if your fiance needs shots or tests done, its going to take some time. Let me know if you need some more help.

You get 3 applications for the price of the one Adjustment of Status (I485). For free you get a travel permit (I131) and work authorization (I-765) if you send them in the same envelope. They are separate applications so read the instructions and send whatever evidence is ask for on each one. For example each asks for 2 passport photos, so that's 6 you'll have to purchase. Think of them as separate just traveling in the same envelope.

The travel document and work authorization card should come earlier than your green card, so that's a reason for doing them. If an emergency comes up and the K1 needs to leave the US before gettng the green card, she will need the travel document to get back in the US. You can work as soon as the work authorization card comes.

Once you get a green card you can work and travel without those documents so they are temporary things.

Social Security Card: If you are K1, then you can get a card about 10 days after arriving in the US. It doesn't allow you to work. It's just a number. Search the help files on this website. It's explained on this website fully.

Medical exam: If you are K1, you had a medical exam in your country. If it is within 12 months of that exam when you file for AOS, then you don't need another full exam. USCIS will get your file with the medical results that you turned in when you entered the US (the brown envelope.) That file clears you of everything but required immunization. You can get a visa without having all the required shots, but now to get the green card, you must have proof of all the required shots. A civil surgeon in the US can do that for you. They give many full exams for other types of applicants, so may tell you that you must have one. NO you don't if you are K visa. He only has to fill out the immunization section 2 of the form I-693 and sign section 5.

Some people send only the DS3025 shot record from abroad if they took all the shots needed before going to that medical. (We did that so didn't need to see a Civil Surgeon.) Most people don't bother and wait to check that out in the US. You'll have to figure out what's needed. I can't spoon that all out for you. The information is available on the internet. That's why you pay a civil surgeon---to tell you if you need more shots and to sign off that you are clear or give you the missing shots.

Currently, every EU country has a different process for granting work permits to nationals of non-EU countries. There are seven standard ways to apply for a work permit in the United Kingdom: the Business and Commercial Arrangements, the Training and Work Experience Arrangements, the Sports people and Entertainers Arrangements, Student Internships, GATS, Ancestry Visa and the Sectors Based Scheme. All applications require the work permit holder to leave the country where the work permit was issued every three months under the Work Permit Arrangements. Every county have their different set of rule for work permit. One thing which will help you get job is proper certification, If someone looking for online cource 100% valid certificate go on to Spoto.
