Police Clearance for Indian Citizen from RCMP Canada

Hi All,

I am from India and at present I am on study permit in Canada. I stayed here for 1 year and I am leaving Canada in few days.

My spouse will file for K3 petition in January 2011 (after our marriage in December 2010) and my visa interview for US (K3 Visa) will be in March or April 2011.

IF I go for name based police clearance certificate from RCMP Canada (I can ONLY get name based certificate when I am present in Canada), will the USCIS and US Embassy in India accept it if its more than 6 months old?

Experts on this forum please give me some advice.

I believe it is ok. My fiance didn't turn hers in until 2 months later. Though six months is rather stretching it. Could you apply for the Police Cert and have them mail it to your location?
